Tour overview

See Sapa the open-air way. You leave Hanoi Old Quarter early on a luxury HK cabin bus and arrive in Sapa around noon. After lunch an open-air Army Jeep takes you down into Muong Hoa Valley: the viewpoints of Moana Sapa, the rice terraces of Lao Chai, quiet Y Linh Ho and a short, easy walk through Ta Van. The evening is yours: the Stone Church, the night market and grilled street food.

On day two the Jeep climbs O Quy Ho Pass, one of Vietnam’s highest mountain passes, where a sea of clouds often fills the valleys. You stop at Silver Waterfall, walk through the forest to Love Waterfall and finish at the Lonely Tree before lunch in town and the cabin bus back to Hanoi at about 14:30.

Most two-day Sapa trips mean a crowded bus or a long trek. Here you ride with the wind in your face in a classic open-air Jeep (a soft roof goes on when it rains), driven by a professional Jeep driver, with an English-speaking local guide and a small group of 2–12 guests riding 5–6 to a Jeep.

“Super nice guide, beautiful landscape, she took us to her house, it was a special insight into life in the village, feeling of freedom standing in the jeep among the beautiful nature was fantastic.”

★★★★★
“I recommend the tour first because a jeep can go places a car would struggle and, second, the guide was a member of the Red Dao so was able to provide insights that, perhaps, other tour guides could not. We went to a village and met ladies who make a living partly by producing intricately embroidered items.”
🇬🇧 Roberta · United Kingdom
★★★★★
“The local tour guide gave us a very individual and deep impression about the ethnic minorities and their life in the mountains, about their farming and handicrafts for clothing. She explained very well and showed us all the details. The trekking through the rice fields was amazing.”
