This half-day tour is the easiest way to see the famous rice-terrace valley below Sapa. You travel in a classic open-air Army Jeep with a professional driver and an English-speaking guide, so you can feel the mountain air and stop wherever the views are best.
From a viewpoint high above Muong Hoa Valley you look over terraced fields, villages and the Hoang Lien Son mountains. Down in the valley you leave the Jeep for a short, easy walk through Lao Chai and on towards Ta Van, meeting local families and passing small craft stalls along the village paths.
The tour slows down for coffee beside a mountain stream at Nhà Bên Suối, then climbs back up to Moana for panoramic photos before returning to Sapa Stone Church. Choose a morning or afternoon departure — both fit easily around other plans in Sapa.

Water fills the terraces around April–May, rice is bright green in June–August and turns golden before the harvest in late August–September. The valley is scenic all year.

Tours run in light rain and mist. In unsafe conditions (storms, landslides or road closures) we adjust the route, move your tour to another time or refund you in full.
